![]() Before the game was cancelled, Zingers were also initially to be "ride-able" in Donkey Kong Racing. The next appearance was a cameo in Donkey Konga, after which they appear as enemies once again in DK: King of Swing and DK: Jungle Climber. They returned in Donkey Kong 64 with a new variety named Mecha-Zinger, a metallic version of the traditional model. Zingers were replaced by a new enemy, a mechanized bee named Buzz, in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. Much like its predecessor, the player must fight against a large Zinger, this time a king named King Zing, in a boss fight. ![]() Several Zinger "hives" litter Crocodile Isle, specifically in Krazy Kremland and Krem Quay, implying that Crocodile Isle may be the place of origin of the creature. In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, there are only two types of Zingers: the traditional yellow Zingers defeated by barrels and or Animal Buddies, and a red Zinger that is completely invincible. Zingers have identical roles in Donkey Kong Land on the Game Boy. A large "queen" Zinger, Queen B., appears as a boss in the game. Zingers represent one of the few enemies that cannot be defeated by being jumped on, but instead must be defeated by either a thrown barrel or anĪnimal Buddy. Zingers made their first appearance in Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, where they were seen in four different color patterns: yellow, red, blue, and green, with each color representing a different flight path of the enemy.
